Left: Soon after getting started, we passed beneath Balboa Blvd. Right: Notice the plastic bag hanging in the tree. Most of the trash collected by us was from the branches of the willows growing along
the river. Gathering the trash was oddly like picking fruit from the trees. |

Left: Ryan handing a pair of gloves to Donna(a must for this kind of work!). Right: Nadia & Claudia working together.

As we filled bags with trash, we tied them closed and hauled them up the bank of the river. Later, we walked picked up the bags and hauled them up to the starting point, where a large dumpster was waiting
for them. Left: Ernie Acosta. Right: Jason. |

After collecting trash for 3 hours, we were pooped out! Right: Here we are getting a rest and enjoying some ice cold water provided by Boeing.
