Young Eagles Flights

The post sponsored a Young Eagles flying experience with the Experimental Aircraft Association, Van Nuys Chapter. Nine students went for their first small airplane ride from Whiteman Air Park in Sylmar to Magic Mountain and back. About 100 youth, in all, participated that day. The EAA was well on their way toward their goal of flying 1 MILLION youth in time for the 100th anniversary of the Wright Bros. first airplane flight.
